Classic jazz is punctuated when mixed with Finkel’s gregarious descriptions and renditions of pop favorites with jazz roots, from the Harry Potter theme to Katy Perry’s Firework in this special evening of programming where novice and seasoned jazz enthusiasts will feel at home and embraced.

Mike Finkel is a composer/songwriter/educator and performer. He has performed and/or recorded with: Marc Cohn, David "Fathead" Newman, Hank Mobley, April Smith and the Great Picture Show, Julie Peel, Michael Bolton, Delbert McClinton, Grover Washington Jr., Elliott Randall, These Machines Are Winning, Lee Greenwood, Richie McDonald (Lonestar), John Lefler and many others. His compositions have been featured on many national TV Shows/Commercials and Films including The Orange Bowl, MLB All-Star Game, NCAA Basketball on NBC and commercials by Pepsi, Frito Lay and Radio Shack. Mike also was part of the team that worked with LucasFilms to develop songs for the Kinect Star Wars game. He also, somewhat regrettably now, turned down the original Vanilla Ice recording session....
